Minum air mineral biasa tanpa perlu ditambahkan potongan buah atau infused water.

Ahli gizi dari Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia menyebutkan meminum air dengan jumlah cukup dapat mencegah risiko kegemukan. Selain itu, asupan air yang cukup juga mencegah beberapa penyakit lainnya seperti batu ginjal, ginjal kronis, dan infeksi saluran kemih.

Ketua Departemen Ilmu Gizi FKUI dr Nurul Ratna Mutu Manikam, M.Gizi, Sp.GK mengatakan minum air yang cukup dapat mengurangi nafsu makan dan meningkatkan pengeluaran kalori lebih banyak. Nurul mengatakan meminum air sebelum makan dapat membuat perut lebih cepat kenyang sehingga tidak makan berlebihan.

“Lemon yang dipotong itu kena udara dia teroksidasi, ketika dimasukkan dalam air juga teroksidasi,” kata dia dalam diskusi terkait manfaat air minum di Jakarta, Selasa (14/5).

Namun, seseorang juga harus mencermati jumlah kalori yang masuk dan lebih banyak beraktivitas fisik. Nurul menjelaskan tidak perlu khawatir untuk buang air kecil lebih banyak apabila meminum air lebih banyak. Hal tersebut dapat menghindari risiko terkena penyakit ginjal dan infeksi saluran kemih.
